Oh Snap!
After just two weeks, our video entry for the Katy Perry/Good Morning America ROAR Contest received nearly 4,000 views! That's the most we've gotten on any of our uploads to YouTube!!!
We just want to thank our community (especially the students, faculty, staff at MBK High School, the folks at Meadowbrook Country Club, and Chesterfield County Public Schools) for supporting our efforts in this contest. And thanks to Katy Perry for giving us the opportunity to show our school spirit and that Meadowbrook High School does have some of the most amazing students in Chesterfield County!

MBK411 TAKES THE STATE!
The Meadowbrook Media Program just received the top honor in the state for the Broadcasting category of Virginia High School League Publications/Activities. In its Inaugural Year, the Broadcasting Top Honor, Trophy Class - State Champions, was awarded to Meadowbrook High School for their student-based news show MBK411. This is a true honor and an amazing accomplishment by some of the finest media students in the state. Congratulations to all schools who received recognition for their publication works at the 2013 VHSL Publications Conference. Special thanks to Lisa Giles, Assistant Director of VHSL Publications for putting together an outstanding line-up of speakers and one of the best conferences in the state!

Congratulations to our very own BRITTANY NICHOLSON!!! Brittany got her first on-camera broadcast with the RAMS REVIEW in November when the VCU Women's Basketball team took on Elon University. Great job Brittany, it's only up from here!

MBK Roar-A-Thon A Major Success!
From bounce houses and disney princesses to glow sticks and crowd surfing, the 2014 Roar-A-Thon surprised everyone! Thanks to the amazing support from our students, Faculty, staff and community, we raised over $11,000 for the Children's Miracle Network and the Children's Hospital of Richmond. What an inspiring event with some unbelievable people! Big shoutout to the Meadowbrook National Honor Society for hosting this wonderful event! Be sure to check back for our MBK MEDIA'S video recap of this motivating experience!
MBK Media Makes Headlines in Charlottesville, VA
Thanks to Andrew Ramspacher from the Charlottesville Daily Progress for this amazing article on the MBK Media Program venturing out to make a documentary about Morgan Moses and his journey to the NFL. This is going to be a great learning experience for all of us. And one that we will cherish forever. Special thanks to Morgan and his family for their support and motivation!
