“My favorite part of the media program (besides being around Ms. Silvestre all the time) was the opportunity to receive hands-on experience as a high school student. This experience gave me more advantage in college since I learned so much from the MBK program.”
Dominique Lee, MBK Media Class of 2009
I learned many things such as entry level skills in pre production, production, and post production techniques at MBK. I highly recommend students to use this time now, begin to hone your craft. Working in the entertainment industry is not out of reach. It takes a lot of hard work, networking, and dedication, but totally within the realm of possibility. Not only is it possible, it is fruitful to boot. Plus, at the end of the day it is satisfying to watch all your hard work on the big screen, not to mention your name in the credits.
Daniel Lerch, MBK Media Class of 2003
“The news production equipment that Meadowbrook has ranks with the best that I have seen all over the country. That, plus the work ethic of the students, made us proud to showcase their videos during the NBC12 newscasts, and on our website, www.nbc12.com.”
Matt Lincoln, Former Sports Anchor NBC12 Richmond, VA
